July at the Beach House
The sweet Summer air is drifting in and the sun is shining bright. It’s officially July at the beach house! Our days become longer and we’re enjoying the slower pace of Summertime. Calm afternoons at the beach and backyard bbqs fill our days as we enjoy the company of our family and friends. As we soak up the sun at the Sea Loft these little things are making us happy 🙂

What We’re Snacking On…
Our snack inspo this month is a little 4th of July and a little we-can’t-get-over-how-cute-this-ice-is!!! First, we’re big fans of fruit in the Summertime. So, of course, we’re bringing an America-inspired fruit platter presented on our favorite Beachly Box find of the season! Think, Rasberries, Strawberries and Dark Cherries arranged with our fave Blueberries!!
Now for our new find, the mini ice balls. THEY ARE SO CUTE! And keep your cocktail, sparkling water, soda, whatever you’re drinking cute and cold. This mini ice ball mold is so easy to use and they freeze super fast – they’re little ones! We highly recommend to add a little fun to your drinks all Summer long!
Our Latest Beach House Project…
Our DIY creativity is flowing this month! With all of the backyard BBQs and outdoor entertaining that Summertime brings, we thought we would indigo dye our own napkin wear to bring a little beach to the table scape. Take a peek at our full tutorial over at DIY Indigo Napkins
Beach House Decorating…
Hello 4th of July!! With the staple American holiday kicking off the month, you know we’re bringing out our Americana Decor to celebrate at the beach. We have so many fun and easy ways to bring in the spirit over here: Americana Decor Trends for your Beach House.
What happens after the 4th of July? Well… we’re bringing back our Summer decor and thinking about how we can curate enjoyable entertaining spaces for our guests. Starting with a fun and easy Summertime table scape. We’re bringing all of the natural, seaside vibes in with these seagrass placemats and napkin rings. Next, we’re inviting our DIY Indigo Napkins to the party! Couple these beachy favorites in with simple, white dishes and you have a subtly sea tablescape.
Want our secret on one of the best additions to a dinner party? Meet the Gurgle Pot. Inspired by the laughter and friendship a gurgling water jug elicited at a wedding in France between guests with a language barrier, the designer, Matt Ellison set out to create the perfect dinner party guest. Thus, the Gurgle Pot was born! Not only do we LOVE the bubbling noises that come from the jug when water (or Rosé 😉 ) is poured, the fish-shaped design fits perfectly with our ocean decor (pro-tip: use it as a flower vase for your blooms when not hosting a get-together). The Gurgle Pot is a crowd pleaser and a welcomed dinner guest to any of our parties – get ready to giggle!
How we’re Playing…
Remember the days of using your scratch paper to draw out a hash mark and drawing your x’s and o’s over and over again? We are having so much fun with our little sea-inspired tic tac toe game board. Perfect for a cozy beach morning playing inside sipping coffee or a fun thing to pop out on the beach. Now.. serious question, are you an x or are you an o?
What we’re Reading…
It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
Is there anything better than laying on the beach, listening to the waves calmly crash onto shore while you immerse yourself in a captivating story? It Happened One Summer kept us engaged all the way through as we went on a journey with Piper (inspired by Alexis Rose of Schitt’s Creek – need we say more?!) as she finds herself in a new town falling for a man very far from her LA norm. Fun, playful and steamy, this book is beyond entertaining and a must-add to your Summer reading list!
Well, there you go, thats our July at the Beach! Don’t forget your sunscreen and happy hosting this Summer season!
